It’s All About Giving

Hosting the largest Cinco de Mayo race in Iowa gives us a chance to give back to our community who makes our race – and our fiesta – possible. Ever since we began the 5K, we made a commitment to give all our proceeds to charity. This year, we are partnering with the Quad Cities Autism Center. The Autism Center provides key resources to individuals and families affected by autism such as education, support, advocacy, and more. We chose the Autism Center because not only are 1 in 68 children affected by Autism but also because we know first-hand the effect autism can have on an individual and their family.

Our Cinco de Mayo Fiesta

Years ago, Cinco de Mayo wasn’t nearly as popular as it is today. We were the first in the Quad Cities to celebrate Cinco with our community by throwing a fiesta, and it has been growing since. We started with the live band in our restaurant and have since grown into having multiple bands, Ballet Folklórico, Taco Eating Contests, a 5K, and much more. People come from all over the Midwest to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us, and we are proud to host such a popular event. It takes months of preparation, but it’s always great to see it pay off. We are glad to share with our community the Mexican culture and to show the Quad Cities how to get down – Mexican style. Join us Saturday, May 4th for one of the largest Cinco de Mayo fiestas in the Midwest!
